PRAIRIE POST
March 26, 2018
Principal's Message
Hello, Parents and Guardians of the Pawsome Pumas,
I know that Spring Break is right around the corner and many of the scholars are anticipating their time away from school. With that being said, I am glad to let you know that our educators are utilizing every minute to collaborate to achieve high academic, emotional, and social growth for each of our scholars. This is important to us as this is the focus for the Eye Of The Puma, our Theory of Action.
We are excited to celebrate Jump Rope For Heart this Thursday. This year Prairie raised $11,201 to help others have healthy hearts.
Over the course of Spring Break, please encourage your son/daughter to continue to read. We want to embed the love of reading into all of our scholars, and we can not accomplish this without you. The goal of Having Everyone Read Often (H.E.R.O.) is within our grasp. Last year, Batman made an appearance. I wonder what will happen this year.
We want to thank you for all of your support as we administered the Forward Exam last week. The Forward Exam is a way for the state to measure our academic progress with other schools in the State of Wisconsin. With that being said, our scholars are more than just a test score. The collaboration among our educators and your unwavering support will continue to be the key to our success.
I know the PTA is currently making plans for the 3rd Annual Puma Palooza. We would love to have you assist in the planning. If you have any time to volunteer for the planning of the event or the day of the event, please contact Erika Kasseckert at erikak0409@gmail.com.
Just a reminder this Thursday will be an early dismissal for our scholars at 1:40 p.m., and there is no school on Friday and all next week.
Have a PAWSOME Break, and we look forward to opening our doors bright and early on April 9th.
