150th Anniversary Celebration

We are excited to announce that planning is currently underway to celebrate our school division's 150th Anniversary! Our planning committee is planning a series of commemorative events that will occur throughout the 2020-21 school year. Stay tuned for information about our kickoff event!

Election Day Closure

On Tuesday November 3, 2020 the General Election will be held. Two of our buildings are polling places in the city, Hugh Mercer Elementary and Walker-Grant Middle School. In an effort to provide essential space for citizens to exercise their right to vote, FCPS will be closed on Election Day. All locations and offices will be closed and employees should not report to work. Please take time and VOTE!

FCPS COVID-19 Dashboard

To provide our families and staff with a transparent summary of COVID-19 cases within our school division we will soon be launching the FCPS COVID-19 Dashboard. This dashboard will provided a variety of school specific information regarding COVID-19 activity including number of positive cases and active quarantines. This data will be updated frequently and more information will be forthcoming.

The Virginia Department of Health recently released a school metrics Coronavirus dashboard. These metrics will be used when evaluating pandemic conditions. To view information specific to Fredericksburg City, scroll to the middle of the page and select Fredericksburg City from the locality map.
