Pumpkin Decorating Contest
This year the library is getting into the fall spirit by having our annual pumpkin/gourd decorating contest of your favorite book character. It's easy and fun for everyone!
Entries may be dropped off at the library only from
Monday, October 24th through Thursday, October 27th.
PRIZES: Students and staff vote for their favorite pumpkin in each category.
PreK-1st, 2nd-3rd, 4th-5th - $10 Book Fair Gift Certificate for each category. (Announced on the afternoon of October 28th).
Staff – NSE staff members may also enter. Students will vote in library class on their favorite staff pumpkin. The winner will receive a $10 Book Fair Gift Certificate.
People's Choice Award: $10 Book Fair Gift Certificate to the project with the most votes from students, staff, and visitors!
Volunteers Needed for Book Fair
- Set up the book fair the morning (8:15-11) of Friday, November 11th.
- Pack up the Book Fair beginning at 9 AM on Friday, November 18th
- Work the Book fair any morning from 7:15-7:45 AM.
- Work the Book Fair any time from 8-11:45 AM.
- Work the Book Fair any afternoon from 11:45-2:45 PM.

Trick or Treating at the Homeplace
The Homeplace will be hosting a trick-or-treat party at the Homeplace at Midway on October 27 from 6:30pm- 8:00pm . This will be a great opportunity for children to interact with our elders in each of the houses and also have some great holiday fun. Click here for more information.

Dairy Queen on Frankfort Street will donate 10% of their sales on Tuesday October 18th from 5-8 to the Woodford County High School Boys Basketball 5K race. Please come show your support for your WCHS boys basketball team!!
