Mason Moose Minutes April 28th!
Message from the Principal
Dearest Mason Families,
Happy Friday! I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate our dear 3rd and 4th grade students for completing their MSTEP assessments this week! The team is proud of all of our students' efforts to try their best, believe in themselves and focus on one question at a time! We anticipate starting NWEA testing the week of May 8th for all K-4th grade students. Teachers will be sharing specific dates in which students will be facilitating this end of the year spring testing.
Looking ahead to next week, we are looking forward to having our 4th grade families join us for our Family Fun Living Museum Day led by our very own 4th grade students! Students have been working hard on their projects, completing research and preparing their boards! This is scheduled for Wednesday, May 3rd at 10 a.m. in our gym!
Additionally next week, we are excited for our annual One Mason, One Family, One Team celebration which is scheduled for Friday, May 5 weather permitting from 5:00-6:30 p.m. on the blacktop and playground! We encourage families to bring lawn chairs, towels to sit on, and be ready to have fun with each other, and have the opportunity to meet others within our Mason family! Please do refer to the below message pertaining to parent volunteers needed for the event! If you are available to volunteer, please fill out this One Mason, One Family, One Team Celebration! Volunteer Form! If you need anything in the meantime, please do not hesitate to reach out to us! As always teamwork it is! One Mason, One Family, and One Team!

Mason Moose Word of The Week
Mason Families,
At Mason we are working on enhancing our students’ vocabulary by working on a word of the week schoolwide. A solid vocabulary boosts reading comprehension for students of all ages. The more words students know, the better they understand the text. One way you can help is to use these new words in real-world contexts. Our goal is to make sure the words are meaningful and relevant to their lives. Please feel free to use this word of the week activity sheet to practice using the weekly word. Activity ideas
