Reading:
- Wrapping up our historical fiction clubs and reassigning you clubs
- Determining theme by looking at the small details
- Ask about your child's video response from last week
- Spelling Week 30
Writing:
- Continue Unit 3: Information Writing, Bringing History to Life
- Civil War articles
Math:
- Unit 9 - Fractions, Decimals and Percentages - test on Tuesday
- Begin Unit 10: Reflections and Symmetry
- Students will explore reflections and identify properties of reflections
Social Studies:
- Continue Civil War research (museum exhibit)
Socratic Seminar
- Students will read a Time For Kids article on zoos and respond to whether we should have zoos or not? We didn't get to this last week!
STEM
- Discuss the design engineer process
- Students will read an excerpt from Great Women of the Civil War. They will identify the problem and solve it using the design engineering process with limited materials.
