IQBAL MASIH'S STORY

Iqbal Masih's story is only one exapmle for the children slaves's lives in Pakistan, and all over the world.

Iqbal was a child slaved, and worked for Hussain Khan at his carpet factory, to help his family to pay her debt. Iqbal wanted better life for him and his friends, so he escaped from Hussain and came to Eshan Khan from the Bonded Labor Liberation of Pakistan - an organization that worked for the release of children that were working as slaves in Pakistan. Eshan Khan came to Hussain Khan's carpet factory with some more people, and release Iqbal and his friends. Then, Iqbal chose to devote his time to release more children from labor life. He akso got a prize from the Reebok company because of his actions.

Iqbal's life were cut when he visited his family, and murdered by the Carpet Mafia.

Global Friendship is a special kind of communication. Global Friendship can be estamblished in several ways: you can comunicate via the computer, send letters, talk on the phone and, of course, meet each other. The connection between different people created by common hobbies, bridges over the gap of languages ​​and cultures.


Global Friendship is also known because of a non-profit organization in that name. This organization works towards empowering women and poverty alleviation, by helping women identify business skills, predominantly traditional craft techniques, merge them with contemporary designs and sell their works in diffrent places around the world.
