We are so excited to be partnered with the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association for Jump Rope for Heart! What a great way for our students to learn the importance of heart health and stroke awareness! Our students will have the chance to jump rope during their recess periods for cardio exercise while having fun!
Jump Rope for Heart Assembly
Monday, Feb. 1st, 1:30pm
Blackburn Elementary School
Students will have the chance to hear the importance of heart health and stroke awareness from the Jump Rope for Heart Association. Student's who have collected online donations of at least $5 will be recognized with their Ninja Star and Super Pup lanyard at the assembly. All other students who have donations and coupons that have been turned in before Feb. 1st, will receive their lanyard and pup after the assembly that day from their teacher!
Jump Rope for Heart Important Dates to Remember
- Feb. 1st- Assembly in the gym/ lanyards and pups will be handed out this day for those who have turned in coupons or money
- Feb. 1-19th- JRFH donation collection online and with collection envelopes/Heart Hero Heart turn in for $1 each (if you need more please let your student's teacher know)
- Feb. 19th- Envelope collection date- Please turn in envelopes to homeroom teachers
- Help us reach our school goal of $5000!
We hope to help educate not only students, but their parents about heart health and stroke awareness. These diseases know no age and can happen to anyone.
