E/LA
Guided reading group discussions center around making predictions, finding cause and effect relationships as well as discussing setting in a book and the author’s purpose for writing the selection. First grade is also learning about punctuation marks.
Grade 2
Math
Students are continuing to work on double digit addition. Please remind your child to practice the math facts nightly, so that addition with larger numbers won’t feel too intimidating.
