Liza Jessie Peterson
Liza Jessie Peterson is a playwright, poet, actress, educator and newly christened author. She has written several plays, including her current tour-de-force, The Peculiar Patriot, which is a multi-media one woman show that confronts the prison industrial complex. The play toured in over 35 prisons across the country and had the honor of opening up for Angela Davis at Columbia University's Beyond the Bars conference on Mass Incarceration. Liza has worked with incarcerated and urban youth, teaching theater, poetry, and creative writing for over 15 years . Her new (and very first) book, All Day: A Memoir of Love and Survival Teaching Incarcerated Kids is due to be released late Spring 2014. More on her here.

Nicholas Powers
Nicholas Powers is an associate professor of literature at SUNY Old Westbury. His second book, The Ground Below Zero, was published by Upset Press in
