Choir Members News
Dear Choir Parents/Guardians,
Last night's performance was an awesome experience for ALL!
Thank you for participating with such incredible Holy Spirit energy!
Next up for the choir...
1. 2 weeks ago I sent a choir permission slip for the
Nov. 3 Catholic Education Mass. If you have not sent it back yet and wish for your choir student to attend, please copy the letter from the link below and submit to me asap. Thank you!
2. Today a form for OIL KINGS tickets is coming home. This is the Sing for Santa/ Teddy Bear toss game on Dec 7 at 7pm. I have also attached an order form in case you don't receive it.
Forms and any payments (choir students are free) are due back to school by Nov 5. They will be picked up by the Oiler entertainment group representative that day. Tickets will be distributed to the school once processed. Thanks for your support with this event.
3. There are currently 80 students out of 121 choir students logged on to google classroom. This is where I post audio and lyrics for materials needed by the students. Please let your teacher know if you have NOT yet logged in. The teacher may be able to do it for the student during class time.
Thank you everyone.
Mrs. Nellie Blanchard
2019-2020 Yearbooks!
Yearbooks are a special keepsake of your child's year of learning at Holy Spirit Catholic School. They are filled with the memories of friends, activities and events that are part of your child's life. Time goes quickly and memories fade but a yearbook will bring a smile, a laugh and help us to reminisce in years to come. Don't miss out on the chance to get a little piece of history at Holy Spirit School.
To order, go to the PowerSchool parent portal where fees are paid and select the option to add the yearbook to your cart. Payment must be made before your order is complete and placed. Cost of the yearbook is $25.00.
Remembrance Day
The Grade One Team will lead our Remembrance Day observance on Friday, November 8 at 10:00 a.m. We would like to invite all the students at Holy Spirit Catholic School to remember the members of their families who have served or who currently serve our country.
We will be using the front display board to show how connected we are to those men and women who give with love. If you would like, please send in a photo copied image of your family member in uniform. Please clearly share their name and rank, and the connection to your family. Mrs. Matheson will be sharing a picture of her husband’s father, so her words will be along the lines of “Colonel Robert S. Matheson, father in law to Mrs. Matheson”. Send them in whenever possible as we will be putting up the photos starting on Nov. 1
Lost and Found
Lost and Found items will be set up this week in the hallway just outside the office. Please have a look to see if anything belongs to you. All items will be donated to a local charity after November 8th.
Library Corner
THE BOOK FAIR IS COMING!!!
The fair will run 3:30 pm until 7:00 pm during parent teacher interviews in the library.
Mrs Scoggins will open the book fair through the lunch hour if any students wish to purchase items.
Please stop by and "CHILL" for a while, and check out the new and wonderful books for sale!
All purchases will help bring new books into our library. There will also be chances to win fabulous prizes!
