EHMS Connections

May 13, 2022- Issue 31

Hello East Hills Families!

As we get down to the last 15 1/2 days, our students are really starting to step up in maturity as they look to the next phase of their school career! If you take a moment to look back to where your child was at the beginning of the year, you will be pleasantly shocked at the growth he/she made throughout this year!

Remember that Tuesday, May 17th is an INSERVICE with teachers, so there is NO SCHOOL for students!

Or 8th graders have a great end of the year! 8th Grade Farewell Dance, Track and Field, Picnics, Freedom Principal Circles, Hershey Trip, and more!

Our mid-quarter reports went out last week. Please help your child finish the quarter and the YEAR strong! We want all students to go into summer proud of their effort! We still have a month of school, and we have a lot to do!

Back Together. Better Connected and Stronger than Ever.

Mr. Horvath, Mr. Tannous and Mrs. Braun

For NEXT YEAR: Free and Reduced Lunch Applications available in the main office!

Lunch Next year is NOT FREE FOR ALL!

In order to get Free or Reduced Lunch NEXT YEAR, applications should be in as soon as possible. We have them available at the main office and they are also on the BASD website. One less thing to worry about at the start of the year, if you take care of it now!

Charger Pride Expectations and Rewards!

We will continue to utilize our Charger Pride Expectations to recognize and reward positive behaviors and academic achievement. Our Charger Pride Expectations Program is a tiered reinforcement effort that focuses on acknowledging students for good behavior while being Prepared, being Respectful, showing Integrity, showing Determination, and displaying Enthusiasm. Our tiered system has allowed students the opportunity to win numerous prizes, brunches, lunch rewards, trips, and activities. Donations of prizes to help promote this program are welcomed whenever possible. We sincerely thank the many parents, community members, and local businesses who have supported our efforts in this program. Please feel free to contact the school if you would be willing to help us in this endeavor.

2021-2022 East Hills Middle School THEME!

Our school theme last year was Together. Connected. Strong! This year we will be continuing with a similar theme as we return to what will hopefully be a school year similar to what we have always been accustomed to. The theme for this school year will be Back Together. Better Connected. Stronger Than Ever!
