Happy New Year!

Happy new year! Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and off to a great start for the new year.

I've enjoyed chatting and exchanging emails with you all as I finished up my first month as your new local representative for the area. Please keep in mind that by law I do need to hear back from each of you each month (Au Pair and host family). I would love to hear how things are going, but a simple reply is also okay - you can reply directly to this message, text, or call.

Of interest to Au Pairs:

In the United States, as many people in many countries do, we like to start the new year by thinking about positive changes that can make the next year even better than the last. These positive changes or "New Years Resolutions" can take on many forms.

Au Pairs might consider these possible new years resolutions for 2015:

*Communicate with your family - take a few minutes at the end of each work day to chat with your host families about how your day went

*Reach out to new Au Pairs in your area - everyone knows how it feels the first few weeks. Give new arrivals a call, email, or facebook message to welcome them with open arms!

*Attend a local activity with other Au Pairs and families. If you have an idea for an activity let me know and we can set it up!
