Welcome Back, SIS!!

We Are Solon Strong!

The Countdown is ON!

Hello, SIS Families!

As I write this newsletter, there are exactly 17 days until we get the express privilege of welcoming you back to school! Our rockstar custodial team has been hard at work all summer long to get the building ready for us all. Teachers have been readying their rooms for the learning to come, and we simply can't wait to see you!

We have many goals we look forward to working on and reaching this school year (see below). I'm confident that together we can reach these goals and make a lot of great memories along the way!

Please do take a peek at some upcoming important dates and extra information to follow.

For now, soak up these last days of summer! Parents, if you have any questions or concerns as the first day draws near, please let me know. I can be reached via email at mholtz@solon.k12.ia.us or via my office phone at 319-624-2427, ext. 1502.

Most Sincerely~

Mrs. Holtz

District Mitigation Information

The district will continue to follow Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) guidance. The IDPH most recent guidance on COVID19 and other illnesses can be found in this link. It is important to monitor your child for symptoms and keep your child home if symptoms are evident as directed by public health.

Iowa law prevents mandating mask use, but the district welcomes their use by those choosing to wear them. We encourage everyone to consult with your personal family physician or health care provider with decisions related to COVID19 and other childhood illnesses.

School Lunches

School lunch will be free again this year for ALL students. You can access the menus on our school website HERE.

**Menus have not been updated for 21-22 just yet.**
