Please review the information below about this collection / competition.
The school with the most bags WINS!
If you are concerned that the item you are donating is not in good enough condition, don't worry! If the clothing, shoes, towels, sheets etc are deemed not ready for direct use, they will be recycled to make new clothing etc.
This is a great opportunity for us to help our school, our community and our environment.
So start going through those closets, drawers, cabinets, shelves.....and save your items for this special collection. During the window from February 1 - March 31, you should put your items in the bin beside the front parking lot by Plainfield Road.
Staff vs Student Dodgeball
It’s the most epic day of the year! The time has come for the 5th annual Blue Ash Elementary Students vs. Staff Dodgeball Game! This awesome fundraiser REPLACES cookie dough sales and is a chance for our students to have some fun, make a difference, and raise money to support our school. Entry Fees will enhance many of BAE’s initiatives. This year, we are specifically focusing on Positive Behavior Intervention and Support activities and our playground. All students will be involved in this exciting activity, some as cheerers and some as players. Whether you are playing in the game or not, you are welcome to take part in our costume competition. Dress up as Captain Dodgeball’s opposite ( a superhero who is kind, follows the four Bs, and shows good sportsmanship) and you could win breakfast at Frisch’s with Mr. Weeks and Mrs. Kolde. The game will take place Friday, February 1.
**If you are interested in being a player make sure to click the link below!! All sign ups must take place by Wednesday, January 30th.

Health and Wellness
This month, more than most, it takes an extra effort of creativity to come up with ways to keep our families active. This is not only good for our kids' bodies, but helps them fight off any "wintertime blues” or feelings of sadness that can come with less exposure to sunlight. With weather still cold outside, try these ideas for staying active:
1. Summit Park Ice Rink: Have you checked out the skating rink at Summit Park? It’s open now through February 18th. For more details, click here.
2. Blue Ash Recreation Center Climbing Wall: Did you know you do not have to be a member of the Blue Ash Recreation center for you and your family to enjoy the climbing wall? For those who are members, it’s free on Mondays! For more details, click here.
3. Cincinnati Children’s HealthWorks! Program has great suggestions of how to stay active during these cold winter months. Read their blog: "7 Exercise Ideas to Keep Your Kids Active This Winter”.
4. Do a scavenger hunt at home with your kids! For example, try out this one from the American Heart Associations
5. There is more snow expected this weekend so bundle up and enjoy the snow! Email a picture of your snowman to: baewellness@gmail.com and we’ll share it with the school!

Cultural Event
We are looking for a co-chair for the Cultural Event. The co-chair would work in tandem with Manika Maheshwari to coordinate the following:
* Secure performance acts
* Maintain the budget
* Create a passport for the children to take with them to each table
* Create and distribute flyers asking for table hosts for the event
* Talk to CJ about event layout
* Ask staff if they are willing and able to work the front table
