HOLY ROSARY NEWSLETTER
Term 4 Week 8 Friday 3 December

Dear Parents and Guardians,
Next week is our final week for the term, and for the year - hard to believe that it is here already!
Congratulations to our Pre-Kindy children who amazed us at their concert this morning! It was just a joy to see them in remarkable form. They are to be congratulated, as are their teachers Jen and Iveta, who have run a fantastic, fantastic programme this year. Pre-Kindy for next year filled up by September this year, and it is no surprise as to why. Well done, and thank you both!
Congratulations also to all of our children from Kindy to Year Six on your fabulous performances in Wednesday's Buddy Concert. It was a joy to behold. Thank you Michelle Kirwan for preparing the children for this concert during such a busy time.
Our Great Graduating classes graduate on Monday night. This is really a special and beautiful evening.
Tuesday night’s concert on the oval is shaping up to be great fun! With plenty of room, there is space for extended families. All welcome!
Wednesday sees our students celebrate their year with a diverse range of excursions, which I know are eagerly anticipated! We wish them an enjoyable and rewarding time.
And on Friday morning we complete the circle by giving thanks at our school mass. I know that there has been plenty to be involved in this term, but, as the core of our reason for being, it would be great to see a great contingent of parents and guardians to join us for this. We’d love to see you there!
Have a great weekend

HR Christmas Concert on the Oval
The concert programme will be made available via QR Code on Monday once the last details are finalised.
Tuesday’s weather is looking amazing! So please get your picnic rugs, chairs, drinks, and nibbles ready for Holy Rosary’s annual Christmas concert! We kindly ask that parents do not begin setting up until after 3.05pm please, as we will be using the oval. The concert will begin informally on the main oval around 4.40pm, with children arriving and meeting their teachers in their seating area while a performance from our World-famous house band, ‘The Holy Roly Stones’, followed by a few little ditties from the Holy Rosary School choir, takes place. The actual concert will begin at 5pm sharp. Areas will be marked off for student’s seating. Learning from last year, we have made the children’s seating area bigger, and put the photo areas for parents and guardians on either side of the children’s seating area. We will also be drawing the winner of the coveted ‘Tuition Raffle’ on the evening. Please see our detailed map below for areas for you to setup and get comfortable, for what is always a great evening. We look forward to seeing you all there!

SEQTA Engage Parent Log-in
It is important that you please check your log in for SEQTA Engage as early as possible so that you will be able to access your child's report at the end of this term.
To do this you need to go to the following site:
https://holyrosarydblv.coneqt-p.cathednet.wa.edu.au/
or follow the link from our school website to “SEQTA Engage - parents” and use your username and password credentials that you set up last year.
If you have remembered your username but have forgotten your password, please click on the Forgot your password? link and an immediate email will be sent to you. The email will expire within one hour, so please action this immediately.
If you have forgotten both of these, then please contact the school and we can remind you of your username or re-send a link.
***Year 6 Parents please remember to download your child's report or print out and keep in a safe place as these will not appear on SEQTA after your child has left the school.***

LIBRARY NEWS
Thank you to everyone who has returned or replaced their library books. If you have outstanding books, please contact me before the students go on break to arrange replacement.
There are times when I accept donations for the library, mainly in term 1 in time for our Project Compassion second hand book sale. Please always make contact with me before dropping books to the library and I ask that they are not left unattended outside the library. Thanks for your support.
It’s been a big week of celebrations. We had a thank you morning tea for our senior chess umpires, our last Seasons for Growth group celebrated their graduation and we had a fabulous Christmas party with the 2021 Library Monitors. As the end of year celebrations continue and life is super busy, we are reminded to be kind each day to others and ourselves.
Have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Butson
