Good Evening Everyone!

I am just getting back into town from a trip to Indianapolis to watch the best of the best high school marching bands compete for the BOA Grand National Championship. This goes beyond the best in the state...this is the best in the country. It was a great time to be around some of my best band director friends, talk band director shop, revive and rejuvenate.

But I am back and ready to take on this last week before Fall Break!

We have a busy week filled with Clarinet master classes, after school jazz band rehearsal, band parent meetings, and yes, another football game to get to before we take some time off for the Thanksgiving Holiday.

This week is going to go by FAST!!

The online shop is live! Couple of helpful things to note:

1) Shop will close on Nov 15 so get your orders in before then!

2) Some items are available in multiple colors. If you click on the item, it will show you color choices along with size options.

3) Orders will ship on or before December 7.

4) Orders can be shipped directly to an address OR you can use code "FREEPICKUP" at checkout to have it shipped to the school for free. We'll have pickup in the band room.

5) All purchases will support the general band fund, which helps do fun things for YOU! The more we sell, the more we earn, so feel free to share with anyone who might be interested in supporting you and the JICHS Band!

Support our Band and Chorus Students’ Spring Trip

Sales Proceeds go to individual students’ spring trip to Universal Studios and to the Band Backers Association to financially assist band activities throughout the school year.

Our Fruit. Florida Indian River Citrus is now available for ordering. Sunburst, our Citrus partner, is a small 40-year-old family-owned business. There are several gift boxes for purchase (Trio Boxes) as well as Hamlin juice oranges, Ruby Red grapefruit (the best grapefruit ever), Mandarins and Navel oranges.

Two Ways to Sell and Purchase Citrus Fruit. There are two ways to sell/purchase:

· Face-to-Face: Students can sell face-to-face using the paper brochure/order form. Paper brochures/order forms will be provided to students in class.

· Online Ordering: Online ordering can be done by anyone who wants to purchase fruit or see our fruit selections. Online ordering is available at the following link:

To order online, access the above link, select the name of the student you are supporting, and then enter the requested purchaser information. Band and chorus members’ names are listed separately and in alphabetical order by first names. The funds raised will be applied to that student’s expenses for the Spring Band and Chorus trip. If you are ordering but do not have a specific band student to support, please select the General Band Fund option.

Ideas for Ordering and Gifting. Please consider gifting a box (particularly a Trio gift box) to staff, colleagues and employees, family, neighbors, delivery personnel and other favorite people. A box of fruit can be enjoyed by the entire family and is a healthy choice. Sunburst’s Trio gift packaging makes a nice presentation.

Shipping. Shipping directly to home and to other addresses is cost-prohibitive – thus shipping directly to home and businesses is not available. Fruit will be delivered to the school sometime around December 5 or 6 to be picked up by students and family. We will know more about the expected date after Thanksgiving.

Order Deadlines. Paper brochure orders and associated collected money are due to Dr. Bowles no later than November 15. Online orders must be placed by November 17.
