THE WEEKLY WITNESS
15 May 2015 | St. Mary Magdalen School | San Antonio, TX
OUR MAVERICK MISSION: EMPOWER STUDENTS AND OUR COMMUNITY TO WITNESS THE GOSPEL AND GROW IN EXCELLENCE THROUGH FAITH, ACADEMICS AND SERVICE.
NUESTRA MISION: EMPODERAR A LOS ALUMNOS Y A NUESTRA COMUNIDAD A SER TESTIGOS DEL EVANGELIO Y CRECER EN LA EXCELENCIA A TRAVÉS DE LA FÉ, LAS ACADÉMICAS Y EL SERVICIO.
STEWARDSHIP
The life of a Christian steward models the life of Jesus. It is challenging and even difficult, in many respects, yet intense joy comes to those who take the risk to live as Christian stewards. Women and men who seek to live as stewards learn that "all things work for good for those who love God" (Rom 8:28).
After Jesus, we look to Mary as an ideal steward. As the Mother of Christ, she lived her ministry in a spirit of fidelity and service; she responded generously to the call. We must ask ourselves: Do we also wish to be disciples of Jesus Christ and Christian stewards of our world and our Church?
Culminating Zeal
Good Morning,
As you may know, our Monthly Value this month is zeal.
Zeal is a great enthusiasm someone has for a certain goal or objective. This value goes great with this month because as we end the school year, we can be more zealous by doing what we like for example sports or the arts, or just spending time with family and friends.
I would like to address this speech to the 8th graders.
Dear 8th graders,
Now that you are going to become future 9th graders, I encourage you to have zeal for everything that you do next year even though it’s challenging and continue to live our two goals; college and heaven through zeal.
It was a pleasure meeting you guys and sharing time with you. We all wish you the best and may you keep growing in your faith!

Registration packets are ready! From now until June 5, registration for the 2015-16 school year is $160. This summer, the rate increases to $180. Tuition for K5-8th grade is $334 per month. In my very biased opinion, there is no better return on your educational investment in the city.
