Welcome May!! This is our last month of school. Where has the days gone? Congratulations to the parents of 8th grade students who will soon graduate from 8th grade and move on to the 9th grade and the high school. May will be a busy month. Please follow our school website, Facebook page and other methods of social media along with teacher communications. Many of our events are for parents to attend so please come support your Champion and we thank you for your support.
State testing begins May 8th for our middle school students and May 10th for our 3-5 grade students. Please make sure that your Champion(s) are present each and everyday during testing as well as on time. Please make sure that they have plenty of rest each and every night so that they may perform at their highest levels. They have worked very hard this school year and we are expecting great results. Thank you parents and guardians for being actively engaged in all that we do at GCO for our AMAZING Champion Tigers!!
Thank you for being a part of our GCO community and school family. I thank you all for sending the best and brightest of our community to come and learn and grow from us each and everyday. We are grateful for all that you do to help us each and everyday.

- May 3 - 9Rounds Workout with 3-8th grade on Football field as we prepare to kick it up a notch on our state testing!!
- May 4 Spirit / Teacher Appreciation Week - Beach Day: Wear Hawaiian wear or beach wear (no bathing suits)
- May 4 Spring Carnival 5pm - 7pm free admission!! Food trucks available, games and fun!!

SC Governor's School - Summer Camp Opportunities
The South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities provides pre-professional training in the arts to students in creative writing, dance, drama, film, music, and visual arts for talented South Carolina students. In a unique school environment, students learn and grow collaboratively. Programs include summer camps and the residential high school and range in age from 7th to 12th grade.
