Principal's Thoughts

Dear Page Hilltop Families:

We are heading into our last week of school. Can you believe it?! We have lots of activities still planned for this week. We hope that all of our students stay healthy so that they can be in school each day to enjoy themselves.

This will be an emotional week for our teachers, staff, and students as we celebrate our successes throughout this challenging time and prepare to separate for the summer.

Parents and students are encouraged to send emails/notes/cards to those people at PH who have had an impact on your students' lives.

On Friday each student will be receiving their final report card as well as information regarding summer reading, etc.

We invite all parents to join us for the last day walk-out @ 12:15. If your student would like a take-home lunch this Friday from the cafe, please fill out this GOOGLE FORM.

Thanks, as always, for sharing your children with us!

Fred Deppe, Principal

Panther Pride Shop -- Retirement Party

On Friday, June 10th there was a "retirement party" for Panther Pride Shop "Store Manager", Alex Powell. Alex has been working in the school store with Mrs. Marshall for the past few years. As he leaves us to head to ASRMS this was the last day the school store would be open for the 2021/2022 school year.

Mr. Gary Archer, owner of Archer's Mobil Station in Ayer, recently presented Principal Fred Deppe with a $500 check from the ExxonMobil Educational Alliance Math & Science School Grant Program. These monies will be put to good use as they support student activities. Mr. Archer has always been a strong business supporter and friend of Page Hilltop. If you happen to see him at the Mobil Station, please say "thank you" on behalf of the Page Hilltop School.

It was a wonderful night for an outdoor concert performance by the Page Hilltop Chorus. Led by chorus director Arielle Richter, the chorus students sang and played instruments with a variety of cultural songs from around the world. In between each song students read passages that emphasized the important role that music has played in cultures throughout the globe.

Next year's kindergarten students, and their families, visited Page Hilltop this past week. They were greeted by Mr. Deppe and Mr. Lutinski, visited classrooms to spend time visiting our current kindergarten teachers and students, enjoyed juice and cookies in our cafe, listened to literacy coach Leah Carter read a wonderful story, and take a ride on a bright yellow school bus. It was a great experience for all and the first step of transitioning to kindergarten.

Throughout the school year, we have shared stories & fundraisers on behalf of Jake Thibeault, son of ASRSD Technology Director Mike Thibeault, who suffered a life-changing accident while playing in a hockey tournament last September. I would like to change an inspirational story which appeared on Channel 5. The message to all of us, adults and children alike, is that we can accomplish great things with motivation and perseverance.
