December 2022
Happy December Families!
Hello CE Rose Families,
Although December is a short month for our students, there is a lot happening and it is important that you are aware of the following information:
- As shared with you on Class Dojo, FaceBook, and our school website, our school has received a school letter grade of a B. We are very proud of our students and teachers for their efforts and hard work. As a school we want to continue to grow and we need your help to ensure they are in attendance and ready to learn. With that being said, it is extremely important that our students are at school every day and on time. When students are absent or late to school, they miss learning. Every minute counts!
- Since the beginning of the school year, our school bells have been off. Our school bells have now been corrected by district to our original school start and end times. The first bell rings at 8:25am and the late bell rings at 8:30am. For dismissal, Kinder dismisses at 2:30pm, 1st -6th grade students dismiss at 2:40pm.
- While we definitely want our students at school every day and on time, we are aware that this is the flu season. It is important to remember that if your child is sick, has a fever or any other COVID/FLU/RSV type symptoms, that you keep them home and call the school to excuse their absence.
As we near the end of the semester on behalf of our teachers and staff we would like to wish you the Happiest of Holidays. May you enjoy your time with your loved ones and friends. We hope that you have a wonderful and safe Winter break.
Thank you Rose Families!

Leaders Read Up!
As a school, literacy is important and we want to encourage our students to read as much as possible. We have a program called 20/20. We ask that each student read 20 minutes for at least 20 days per month and log each book they read on our reading log. At the end of the month your child will submit the 20/20 reading log to their teacher. If your child reads chapter books, please document each chapter read for daily reading. We recognize our students reading achievement monthly. Please help us motivate your child to read!
