Greenwich Free Library
November Newsletter
Thanks. Giving.
By the end of the month, I will have accumulated a long personal list of things to be thankful for; the absence of election-related posts on Facebook being right at the top. My library list includes all the wonderful people I work with - from the board of trustees, to the staff to the many volunteers. It also includes the tremendous support we get from the community. We regularly work with the school, the youth center, local businesses, churches, other libraries, individuals and even politicians to get all the resources needed to keep the doors open and the magic happening. Since becoming the director of this library, I have become shameless about asking people to give of their time, talents and money. I have no problem making the requests because we provide a unique and necessary service. And so many of those I approach say yes because they see our value too. In supporting the library, you are creating a stronger community. So, thanks for giving.
