On Track For a Stellar Year

We hope this newsletter finds the start of the year going well for your Spooner student, and if not, that you will please reach out and contact us to work toward making it such.

STAR Testing: September 25th and 26th
For your information, staff use the results from STAR Reading and Math to set learning outcomes for our classes. We will also be using this data to review our programs and courses to determine any changes that need to be made to ensure that all students are growing in their learning. It is important that students take these assessments seriously.
From this information in the past year, we have added courses and supports to our high school to enhance reading skills for our students, and we will continue to use this information as well as state testing data to work to improve.
Coming this year, families will have speedier access to information from testing results for students through a parent portal on Educlimber. Dr. Dejager will be communicating information about that to all families.
We ask for your support in this important testing by ensuring that your students are present on Monday and Tuesday. If they cannot be, we will hold make up tests on Wednesday during Rails Time. We appreciate your support when speaking about testing with your Spooner student.
If you have any questions about the STAR assessment, Dr. Dejager would love to speak with you about it.
