WHAT ARE WE LEARNING THIS WEEK?
ELAR- We will analyze plot elements, including the rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution (4.8C) *Reading Interim Wednesday 11/15/23
Math- We will use benchmark fractions to verify the reasonableness of sums and/or differences of fractions with like denominators referring to the same whole (4.3A-B, 4.3E-G) *Math Interim Tuesday 11/14/23 *Adding and Subtracting Fractions quiz Monday 11/13/23
*Optional Homework- students may complete "Daily TEKS Review 10-2 and backside 10-3" for 5 bonus points to their lowest daily grade.
Science- We will examine properties of soil, including odor and texture, capacity to retain water, and ability to support growth of plants (4.7A) *Properties of Soil assessment Thursday 11/16/23
Social Studies- I will explain when, where, & why the Spanish established settlements & Catholic missions in Texas as well as important individuals (4.2C)
Our 4th grade field trip will be in May. We are starting to organize our trip to the Perot Museum. If you have a School Cash account set up, you should receive an email about the field trip. The field trip will cost $8 per student, payable in School Cash. We will send home more information in the Spring.
