Message to families
Since the beginning of this school year, students have demonstrated strength, perseverance, and ownership, therefore, it is important to encourage them to continue behaving as star pupils. W.A.V.E. is the perfect means of doing so. W.A.V.E. is the IHCS system of support where teachers teach and recognize positive behavior through the implementation of a data-driven, school-wide program to maximize social, emotional, and academic W.A.V.E. behaviors in all students. We will accomplish our mission by providing a safe and supportive learning environment where students will practice school-wide expectations with teachers and staff serving as positive role models.

7th & 8th grade Students:
Learned about zentangling, then they created positive and negative designs of their choice.
In a following project, students were given the choice to pick a staff member and create neurographic prints. Do you recognize who they are?
Finally, in honor of candy season, students learned how to use the grid drawing technique to enlarge their favorite candy wrapper.
Coming Soon: Campus Supervisor
We are happy to announce we are moving forward with hiring a campus supervisor. A few of the responsibilities will include patroling and monitoring the campus and adjacent areas, including: lunch areas, hallways, walkways, classrooms, playgrounds, restrooms and parking lots, etc.; maintain order and safety of campus; defusing potentially volatile situations; know and identify harassment and bullying issues and intervene to assist in resolving. To easily identify the campus supervisor, they will wear a prescribed uniform. The goal of adding the campus supervisor will help to increase the safety on our campus for our students.
