MAY 17, 2023 - NEWSLETTER
SLPHS families,
I am excited to celebrate scholarship and award recipients at our Class of 2023 Scholarship and Awards Ceremony tonight. We will be sharing 286 individual accolades with 140 students in our senior class. I always enjoy any opportunity to celebrate our talented students.
Yesterday, we had the opportunity to recognize the passion and contributions of one of our teachers. Bill Neiss teaches in our Opportunities in Emergency Care pathways program. Fox 9 anchor Randy Meier surprised Bill in his classroom with a Fox 9 Top Teacher award. Many people helped keep this a secret from Bill and it was special to have former and current students join in the surprise. You can check out the clip online.
We are in the final weeks of the spring activities and athletics season. I encourage families to take in a spring event and see our students performing in an extracurricular arena. Find more information on our Activities & Athletics Page.
Thank you, as always, for your support and partnership. One school, one community #SLPPantherProud!
Matthew Boucher
Principal

Appreciation for the appreciation
Spring Lake Park Schools staff appreciated all the love last week during staff appreciation week. There were sweets to start the day. Sidewalk chalk tributes. Thank you cards. Coffee. Lunch. Snacks. Smiles and hugs and more.
It's become a Spring Lake Park Schools tradition to honor all staff during the May National Teacher Appreciate Week. The week comes at a critical moment in the year when all staff are working hard to support students in ending the year strong.
Check out a few highlights and photos from the week of appreciation.
Bill Neiss - Fox 9 Top Teacher Award
