WP WEEKLY BULLETIN
September 16th, 2022
A Note from Ms. Gons
We had a spectacular second week at WP!
Back to School Night is Tuesday 9/20
- Please enter through the gym doors where the PTA will have an information table and the 4th grade committee will be having a bake sale!
- Kindergarten-Grade 2 will meet from 6:30-7:00pm
- Grades 3 & 4 will meet from 7:00-7:30pm
- Special area teachers will be in the gym from 6:45-7:15pm
- If you are interested in becoming a class parent but can not attend Back to School Night, please email your child's teacher and let them know that you are interested. All interested parents should sign up at BTSN or email the teacher by 9/21. If more than 2 parents sign up, names will be drawn at random and the class parents will be notified by 9/28.
Please remember, the purpose of Back to School Night is for teachers to share a general overview of the grade level curriculum and classroom procedures. It is not a time for individual conferences. Individual conferences will be scheduled in November.
Safety Drills
We had our first fire drill on Monday. Each month we will have two safety drills. One will always be a fire drill and the other will be a lockdown, evacuation or shelter in place. When we conduct the additional drill, I will let you know.
Literacy & Math Intervention Programs
The Fair Lawn School District is in the process of identifying students for participation in our Elementary Math and Literacy Intervention Programs. These programs provide services to those students who require additional academic support in the areas of reading comprehension, language arts, and/or mathematics. The District has also scheduled a Parent Information Session to be held on September 28, 2022, at 6:00 p.m., in the Memorial Middle School Auditorium in order to provide you with information about these programs. Final eligibility letters will be sent to parents on or around September 23, 2022.

Teachers are on duty starting at 8:25 and students will enter the building at 8:35.
