Final newsletter of this school year
One of my "go to " expressions is "change is hard". I had no idea just how hard until we said good-bye to Miss Ivie; our incredible Kindergarten teacher of 18 years. We also bid farewell to many of our military families as they transferred to other states and lost a few more students to change in family circumstances. We are truly looking forward to returning to the 22/23 school year with all of our previous activities in place. Thank you all for responding to our "intent to return" form to share your future plans.
We NEED to see families back in our building.
We WANT you to be involved in your child's education.
We'd LOVE to have an active PTA once again.
This is a partnership that is growing and developing into something new and wonderful. What an exciting time to be a Brown Bear.
Have a safe and family fun filled summer break.
Warmly, and with appreciation for all you do,
Joanne Van

End of the Year Picnic!
We will be having an end-of-the-year picnic for students and families on our last day of school, Thursday, May 19th! Families are welcome to join their student(s) for lunch and enjoy lunch outside, weather permitting. If it rains we will move inside. Specific details about a rain plan will be sent out at a later time. Student lunches will be provided as usual. Lunches will be served from 11am until 12pm. We anticipate lunches to take about an hour to be handed out (younger grades receiving them first).
Library Books
The end of the year is almost here. All student library books are due on Friday, May 6th. Overdue notices are sent to students every Monday morning. If your student has lost their library book, please contact Mrs. Fine to make arrangements. jamie.fine@k12northstar.org or (907) 488-0134 x29540.
Don’t forget to visit the public library this summer to sign up for the Summer Reading Program!
