Sem Elementary - Dedicated Everyday in Every Way!
Happy Veteran's Day!
Thanks again for sharing your child with us for another week. I would like to say a huge thank you to all of the Veterans out there. In addition, thanks to all service men and women still serving in the armed forces.
Next week is that last week of school before the Thanksgiving break. I know that many of you are planning trips to visit family or prepare for family to come visit. I hope you get the chance to relax and enjoy time with family, food, and football!
On another note, I want you all to be aware that I will be doing my best to highlight many of the wonderful things that are happening here at Sem through this newsletter. Therefore, you may see me out and about taking pictures of our staff and students. I certainly will make sure that any students in a picture has had a release signed by parents at the beginning of the year.
Lastly, you may have noticed that our marquee has been turned off. We have had an electrical problem with the marquee and we are waiting for it to be fixed. We are hopeful the marquee will be working smoothly very soon.
Thanks for your support!
This week when both crosswalk employees didn't show up, our office staff stepped up and made sure students and parents were safe arriving to school! Thanks Nelly, Brandy, and Pam!
Two of our fourth grade teachers getting to work early at 7:15 to collaborate on student growth and make plans for instruction.
Ipads have become a regular thing in classrooms. This is a classroom using Ipads to create a project with an app! The district is providing more and more technology for students to use in the classroom each year.
Student Portal: The Student Portal is a place where students can go to access online resources like Google Apps and the Student Learning Hub, as well as student email and Home Access Center for secondary students. It also contains links to some electronic textbooks and several websites used by teachers in the classroom or recommended for homework. Click Here
