ICDC Winners!
Station Camp High School’s marketing program had 33 competitors qualify to compete at the DECA International Career Development Conference on April 23-25th in Nashville, Tn. In total, 18,000 students from 7 different countries attended the competition.
Station Camp brought home the only trophies for the state of Tennessee. Juniors Lydia Thompson and Reed Reynolds placed 3rd in the world for their Community Service Project, through which they raised $10,000 for special needs playground equipment at Station Camp Elementary and Burris Elementary. Junior Shelby Cage took home 2nd
place in the world for her Financial Literacy Promotion Project where she went to 7 high schools in Sumner County and taught lessons on preventing identity theft. Seniors Madeline Gammon and Claire Morrison also advanced to finals for their Station Camp Customs store, placing in the top 20 overall.Station Camp’s DECA program has grown substantially over the last several years and now consists of over 200 members. We are incredibly proud to recognize the accomplishments of our ICDC competitors, as well as all members of our DECA program.
