Jesus "The Messiah"
Who is Jesus?
But Who Do You Say That I Am?
Jesus is the Messiah. He is the son of God. He is love and compassion. He loves me unconditionally for who I am. He even sacrificed his own life for the forgiveness of my sins. Jesus is inspiration. He gives us inspiration to reach our dreams. He is the truth. He is forgiveness. Jesus is hope. He gives us hope to move forward in our everyday lives and to have confidence. Jesus is a friend that will always be there for you when you most need him. Jesus is a person who will not judge you and encourage you to continue to move forward in life. He is grace and spirituality. Jesus is beautiful and mysterious as nature. Jesus is God! *Reflection on Matthew 16:13-20*
Bible Passages of Jesus' Forgiveness and Unconditional Love
- Exodus 3:13-15- God says "I am who I am." He is referring to Jesus and that they are three persons in one.
- Matthew 6: 14-15- God will always forgive our sins if we truly repent.
- John 3: 16-18- God gave us his only son, Jesus, to die on the cross for our salvation out of love.
Where is Christ?
Nature
I see Christ in Nature because He created all of it and it is all so fascinating almost magical and special. It has a sense of God in it.
Sunset
I see Christ in the sunset because Christ is the light of the world. He guides us through all our lives.
Family
I see Christ in my family because He is love and his burning love is present everyday in our lives. Christ gives my family love each and every day.
Insight on "Matthew 16: 13-20"
The confession is of Jesus both as Messiah and the Son of the living God. Jesus' response attributes the confession to a divine revelation granted to Peter alone and makes him the rock on which Jesus will build his church and the disciple whose authority in the church on Earth will be confirmed in heaven by God.
Unity and Love
Jesus reminds me of this picture because this picture is showing unity and love. Jesus unites all the people of the world with his unconditional love.
