K - "Keep your tongue from evil." Psalm 34:13

L - "Look to Me and be saved." Isaiah 45:22
- Look - hold up 2nd and 3rd fingers - use them to point to your eyes and then pull them away
- to Me - point toward heaven
- and be saved - make fists with both hands - cross arms in front of your face as if bound in handcuffs - keep fists but pull apart arms as if suddenly being freed
*God's Word is timeless. Let's help our children 'etch' the Truth on their hearts so that their spiritual armor is thick and always ready no matter where they are.

Keys for Kids!
Teaching our children to obey is a crucial part of helping them become disciples who live a life of true obedience to the Lord.
Imagine a door that has four different locks, each requiring a separate key. Each of the keys will work, but all four keys are required to open the door. Similarly, obedience is comprised of several different keys, and all are necessary to attain true obedience.
Keys to True Obedience
1. Immediately
2. Completely
3. Cheerfully
4. Without Complaining
How can you incorporate these keys into your day? When you walk into a half-cleaned bedroom, you can say, "Looks like we are missing a key here." When you see a pouty attitude, you can ask, "Which key are we missing?"
As our children learn to not only assess their behaviors, but to hear and respond to our instruction, they are encouraged to listen for their heavenly Father’s still, small voice and to desire to obey Him wholeheartedly.
*We have the keys painted on a wall in Adventureland - they are a fantastic teaching tool!
