Global Warming - Natural Disasters
How Global Warming increases the risk of natural disasters.
More and more disasters are happening throughout the world, either because of lack of water, too much water, or too much heat. Just last year, 1 drought, 5 severe storms, 1 wildfire and 1 winter storm killed 155 people. Why? Global Warming, that's why.
As if that's not enough, just now a wildfire is spreading across Alberta at an alarming pace due to lack of rain and intense wind, forcing people and critters out of their own homes. Since this monster fire first started out, it has grown from 3,000 to more than 544,000 acres.
In the year 2014, southern Malawi (Africa) received 400% more rain than usual, causing the Shire river to rise to it's highest level in 30 years. If it rises any higher, villages near the river will receive many floods.
