Curriculum Night
Parents of students in grades 5 - 12 are invited to come to the gym at 5:30 to hear about our school wide academic focus this year and how we compare with state results from last year.
Then parents will be able to "walk their child's schedule" and visit each class and hear about what is happening in the classroom now and coming up.
DROP OFF procedures
Morning Drop Off: Please begin to double into 2 lines when entering the parking lot at the start of the soccer field. If you have a younger child and want them to be dropped off on the side of the building, use the far right lane (closest to the field).
Parents pulling into the parking lot and dropping off, will not be able to pull into the car line to exit from 7:35 until the drop off line is complete.
As always, please do not exit out of the entrance to the parking lot. This is unsafe for cars entering the parking lot.
Numbered parking spots are for student drivers only.
Thank you
PSAT
10th graders and 9th graders interested in taking the test as practice will need to sign up on a first come first serve basis. We have ordered some extra test but are limited. There is a $15.00 fee. Checks can be made out to The NCLA with PSAT in the memo section as well as cash will be accepted. If you are interested in signing your student up for the PSAT, please complete this form and return payment by September 14th to Mrs. Wood.https://goo.gl/forms/NpgvahBz81SR6vmY2
There will be a pre-administration session for students to complete all the necessary forms ahead of time. They will receive a practice booklet at that time. The pre-administration session will be administered after lunch on September 28th.
Once PSAT scores come back, students will have free, personalized access to SAT practice sessions on Khan Academy that are geared specifically to their weaknesses based on the scores. This is a wonderful tool that all students should use to maximize their SAT potential.
Feel free to contact Ms. Wood (awood@thencla.org) if you have any questions.

Volunteer Opportunities
CHAT
We have immediate openings for CHAT (Clerical Helpers Assisting Teachers) volunteers and are in need of a few team leaders. CHAT meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 8am-10am to do things for our teachers, such as making copies, laminating, making booklets, cut-and-paste projects for crafts, etc. This is a fantastic way to directly help our teachers and students. Please contact Amber Brannon at Ambernbrannan@gmail.com or just show up on Tuesdays/Thursdays.
“Brandi’s List”
Please see here for current volunteer opportunities. We’re currently in need of help with VIC Card Linking Events and the upcoming GaGa Tournament.
