Mental Health Parent Webinars

In partnership with Daybreak Health, we are offering the following parent webinars. Translation will be available for all sessions.
  • March 24, 2022 (9-10am, 6-7pm): Supporting children with grief and loss
  • April 7, 2022 (9-10am, 6-7pm): School anxiety - social and academic pressure
  • May 5, 2022 (9-10am): Social media, technology and isolation

The Family Center invites you to attend a Webinar provided by Daybreak Health. This course will be hosted by clinical expert with Daybreak Health, Wendy Youngsmith, LMFT. These sessions will focus on teen mental health and will address the topics of how to tackle academic and social anxiety, how can parents help build their teen’s confidence, reducing isolation and how you as a parent can strategically support your teen navigating social and academic pressure.

The 7 Habits Successful Families

This engaging course will leave you with ideas and the confidence to engage your family in healthy lifelong habits. The 8 week session will begin on March 4, 2022. Junior Black Achievers are students who are given the opportunity to connect with their black peers, black parents and black community members in order to develop a rich understanding of their culture and history as well as improve their college and career readiness. Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC)

The Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) works to address the needs of families with students that have an IEP or 504. Join us for virtual workshops to discuss needs with PSUSD's Special Education Department staff and to learn more. You can register online:

District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC)

English Learner Parent Information Sessions are held to provide parents an opportunity to get information about being involved in ELAC, DELAC, SSC. Family and Community Engagement Specialist

Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Specialists serve to connect families, school and the community. A FACE Specialist develops a strong partnership between families and schools by building parent capacity, fostering trusting relationships and ensuring two-way communication. Specialists are responsible for coordinating and conducting various family and community outreach programs. Specialists conduct informational meetings and provide guidance to families on how to assist students with reaching their academic and social goals. Specialists will also convey information regarding school and/or district activities and procedures and refer families to other agencies. Please email for more information.
