Courage to Speak - Substance Abuse Prevention

Join us for a 4 week session to learn about substance abuse and prevention offered in partnership with the organization Courage to Speak.

Spanish sessions are held in August and English sessions are held on October. Please see the flyer here and use this link to register:

Nurturing Parenting Course

Nurturing Parenting is an interactive 10-week course that will help you better understand your

role as a parent. Help in strengthening your relationship and bond with your child. Learn new

strategies and skills to improve your child’s concerning behavior. Develop self-care, empathy,

and, self-awareness.

Strengthening Families

Strengthening Families is a free family program for those with children between 6-11 years old. Free meals are provided to families before each class. To register, please call: Latino Commission (760) 398-8800. Classes will be held on Thursdays from 6:30-8:00 pm and begin on September 10th.

Positive Action Parenting

This 7-week course teaches parenting through a positive action philosophy, covering the physical, intellectual, and social- emotional areas of the whole self. The 7 Habits of Successful Families workshop is based on Stephen R. Covey’s #1 best seller The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. This engaging family-strengthening program has proven successful with all kinds of families because it uses a self-discovery and adult-learner approach. Parent Support Circles

During these very uncertain times, many parents are feeling frustrated, confused, or overwhelmed. Palm Springs’s Unified School District’s Mental Health Department would like to invite you to join an open, support group for parents. Group sessions are held by zoom and are led by a confidential, licensed therapist. Register:
