Course Updates

AP Calculus AB with Mrs. Atkins

Dear Students and Parents/Guardians,

All grades in AP Calculus AB with Mrs. Atkins at Georgia Virtual School have been updated as of 9:50 pm on August 18, 2013. If you submitted an assignment after that time, it may not be graded yet. I will send out automated phone calls soon to parents/guardians via reminding you to check your child's progress.

Missing/Late Work

For students in the 18 week schedule group, any assignments that were not completed by the bi-weekly due date of August 16 have been given a score of "0." Please complete any missing assignments as soon as possible for partial credit. Work turned in after the deadline on the course schedule will be accepted within 1 week with a late penalty assessed. Late penalty begins on Saturday and is deducted at a rate of 10% of the assignment value per school day. Work submitted on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday is considered 1 day late.

Schedule Group Changes

Students/Parents can request only one schedule group change per semester. Parents' requests override students' requests. If you think turning in work on time will continue to be a problem for you (or your child), I highly recommend new students request placement in the 16 week group at this time. Remember you can always work ahead or catch up with the 18 week group! In accordance with GAVS policy, only one schedule group change can be made per semester.
