Picture Day is Coming Soon!
Picture Day for Cornerstone Elementary is scheduled for Thursday, Sep 15.
This event's Order Code is 69017SF.
Online ordering is available before and after Picture Day. Shipping and handling charges may apply to orders placed after Picture Day.
Lunch Visitors
At this time, we are able to have 4-6 students at each lunch have one or two guests join them for lunch.
Since space is limited, we ask that parents share the opportunity to visit as we will not be able to host every parent, every day. We strongly encourage parents to sign up only one time per week if space allows.
Safety and Security is our number one priority. For this reason, just as we did last year, we will ask guests to use a sign up genius to sign up in advance. CSE asks that families sign up no more than one time a week to allow all interested families the opportunity to join their student for lunch.
Sign Up Genius for Lunch Visitors
(CSE will not host lunch visitors on Thursday, September 15th due to our Picture Day Event)
Please remember to bring a photo id with you to campus as this is required to be signed in to campus as a visitor.
CSE Reminders for First Time Lunch Guests
- Guests will only be allowed to join a student for lunch, if they are an approved emergency contact in Skyward Family Access.
- Guest must have a photo ID in order to be allowed onto campus.
- Lunch Time is a Cell Phone Free Time
- Visitors may only bring food for their child.
- Please exit the cafeteria at our 5 minute Remaining mark to help our grade levels transition to recess.
- We will not be able to host lunch visitors during state testing or when special events are occurring on campus.
Campus Planning Advisory Committee
The FBISD Board Policy BQB (LEGAL) and (LOCAL) establishes requirements for selection of the Campus Planning Advisory Council (CPAC). Substantive updates were made to Board Policy BQB (LOCAL) and each principal is advised to carefully review the updated policy. The CPAC, composed of professional staff, parents, community representatives and business representatives [Education Code 11.251(b), .253(b)], is to participate in campus decision-making related to planning, budgeting, curriculum, staffing patterns, staff development and school organization. The CPAC is charged with approving professional development of a campus nature recommended by the principal and is of great importance in the decision-making process.
Thank you for your interest in participating in our CPAC meetings. As a member of the team, you will work with campus teachers and administrators to review assessment data, our campus improvement plan and our campus goals. At minimum, the team will include at least two parents of students currently enrolled within the District, selected in accordance with administrative procedures.
Meetings occur approximately 4 times throughout the year and our held on Wednesday via TEAMS. (Dates of our Wednesday meetings will be forth-coming)
Roles and responsibilities of the CPAC are to:
• obtain broad-based community, parent, and staff input, and provide information to those persons on a systematic basis.
• be involved in the development of the CIP and monitoring of progress through signaling.
• support the District’s Goals and Objectives, specific to the academic achievement and growth of students served by the campus and aligned with the Profile of a Graduate.
• meet for the purpose of implementing planning processes through community-based accountability and site-based decision making in accordance with Board policy and administrative procedures.
• assist the campus principal with the development, review, and revision of the campus improvement plan. (Education Code 11.253(c) See Campus Level Plan at BQ(LEGAL))
• consult with the principal in the planning, operation, supervision, and evaluation of the campus educational program. (Education Code 11.253(h))
• approve the portions of the Campus Improvement Plan addressing campus staff development needs. (Education Code 11.253(e))
