Hello Wolves,
➡️Warren Seyler will be presenting to 7th graders next week about Native American history in the Spokane region as part of their Washington State History course.
➡️Health and Fitness teachers will be teaching the Sexual Health lessons between March 18 & March 26. There are 6 lessons. More info available at: https://www.cvsd.org/apps/pages/sexualhealth which includes the Opt Out Form. If you have questions about this, please feel free to call the school office.
➡️We have some coaching positions open for spring sports. If you are interested in applying to be a head baseball coach, a baseball assistant, or a track assistant, please contact Mr. Rasmussen at crasmussen@cvsd.org.
➡️We are trying something different during 6th grade lunch. Today students went outside first for their 10 minute recess and then ate lunch for the remaining 20 min. We'll try that again on Monday.

This week we honored a huge part of our Selkirk team. We showed our appreciation during the morning announcements, by making posters, and during a Baked Potato Bar today.
Leadership Students in PACK
Leadership students came back from their conference inspired to finish the year strong. The last two weeks they have been teaching lessons in 6th and 7th grade PACKs (advisory.)

Reading through the Month of March
Join Selkirk Library as we shoot for lots of reading during the month of March Reading Madness, March 1 –March 29.
Sixth grade students, again, can earn a Silverwood Ticket by reading for at least 10 hours.
Sixth grade ELA teachers will be handing out the form so students can keep track of minutes read.
Students in 7th and 8th grade can also keep track of their
reading minutes with this form. Top readers in all grades will earn a golden
library pass and other book related prizes.
