Monochromatic clothing
Derived from a single base hue and extended using its shades, tones and tints.
Complementary clothing
Two colors that are opposite from each other on the color wheel.
Triadic clothing
Uses 3 colors that are evenly spaced around on the color wheel. 3 primary, 3 secondary, etc...
Vertical line clothing
Clothes that have vertical (up and down) lines on them
Horizontal line clothing
Clothes that have horizontal (long ways) lines on them
Zig Zag line clothing
Clothes that have zig zags on them, usually meaning happy or fun.
Jean textures
Usually softer material
Sweater material
Soft material used for sweaters and scarfs
Emphasis clothing
Designers use tons of ways to emphasis their special way of designing. Whether it's bright colors, cutouts, pins, etc.
Symmetrical clothing
Could be cut in half and be even on both sides.
Balance
Asymmetrical clothing
If cut in half, both sides would be different
Rhythms:
Radiation- Of lines, shapes, colors, or textural folds inward or outward from a central point or area
Gradation-
A scale or a series of successive changes, stages, or degrees
Repetition-
Making something over and over again
