Exploring what is possible in the New Year

Our theme in religious education and small group ministry this month is Possibility. What do we believe is possible? What does it mean to be a people of possibility?

Sunday and Every Day: Taking it Home

Last Sunday was Family Chapel on the theme of Possibility. We discussed what that word means to us, what we believe is possible, and what possibilities we are envisioning for the new year. We also learned about the hymn We Shall Overcome.

Discuss at home:

What do you envision as possible? Does wishing or picturing or visioning make it happen or make it more possible? What else moves something from possible to actual?

What possibilities are you envisioning for this New Year?

Family Spiritual Practice:

One of our worship stations in Chapel was making Prayer Flags. To make prayer flags at home with your family, you just need fabric, a cord or rope, sharpie markers or fabric paints, and either tape, clothespins, or the ability to sew. It's a lovely project for all ages.
