Every Student Needs You....
This week in grade level meetings we will dive into the RtI process for Ebinport Elementary. High-quality teaching, screening, and the ongoing monitoring of student progress is expected for every child. This is part of "Our WHY"...Knowing Every Child. When children need additional supports the RtI process is used to guide setting specific goals, implementing an intervention, and monitoring student progress.

Moby Max, MAYBE?
As I strive to make responsible fiscal choices I need your input. Please complete this quick survey indicating your desire for the school to purchase the Moby Max license. In previous years PTO has purchased this. However, this year that is not a possibility. If this is a widely used resource I will purchase this for the school.

Duty
In the afternoons we have had numerous children left by the bus due to not hearing announcements. We are causing these busses to arrive late for their middle school routes and creating additional work for the front desk as they field parent phone calls asking about children arriving late. This week discuss with your grade level a plan for how you will hold yourselves and students accountable for hearing dismissal calls. It is not acceptable for students to miss their way home.
This is also happening for carline. On several occasions this week children have said they were still in their classrooms when their names were called for carline. Students should be in the carline holding area as soon as possible when this call is made at the end of the day.
Fire Drill Reminders
- Make sure you know the nearest, safest exit to your location, if it is blocked, go to another location.
- We cannot stress the importance of supervision. You must always be with students, never leave a child unattended in a classroom. If something should happen while you are not in the classroom, it is indefensible.
- Please take your red/green card and rosters to take attendance during a drill.
Lockdown Drill Reminders
- Officer Slawson confirmed that we can have papers or a curtain to block the door window in an EMERGENCY DRILL only! These should only be down during an emergency lockdown drill.
- Please remember to remain in a safe location in a "real" emergency lockdown until the door is breached by law enforcement.
- All radios, lamps, and laptops should be off/closed to prevent noise and light during an EMERGENCY drill.
