What is Rhythms Night?
A time honored tradition here at St. Andrew’s dating back to 1977. PE teachers, Nichole Adams, Maria Brummer, Tom Costas, Betsy Ross, Jack Wallace and Kristen Benjamin teach the Kinder through 4th graders a rhythmical performance and incorporate equipment such as wands, hula hoops, drumball, and more. Admission is free and ALL Kinder, 1st , 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders are expected to come and participate.
What to wear
- Kinder: Sunglasses that will be provided; dark or black jeans and white top. Boys spiked hair & girls in a high ponytail (rock star-ish theme)
- 1st Grade Parachute: Red, Yellow, Blue or Green solid shirt
- 2nd Grade Hoop: Top to match color hoop
- 2nd Grade Wand: White top (long sleeve button down if possible) with dark or black jeans (magician theme)
- 3rd Grade Flag: White shirt, jeans or dark pants
- 3rd Grade Drumball: All black and sunglasses
- 4th Grade Tininkling: Soccer jersey and athletic bottoms
- 4th Grade Basketball: Basketball jersey
Athletic shoes must be worn for all performances
Frequently Asked Questions
Does my child have to attend? YES! We spend 4 weeks teaching the students these routines and some have partners; plus, it is so much fun for everyone!
Should I buy my child a new outfit for this? NO! Supplement as best as you can with what you have at home.
How long will it last? Each routine is about 3-4 minutes long and run back to back. You will be out of here no later than 6:15.
What if I (the parent) can't make it? For parents that are unable to attend, please feel free to come during your child's PE time on Thursday, Feb 7. Email your child's instructor to set up the details.

5:30 - 6:15: Kinder - 4th grade performances in Crusader Hall
