20-21 TMSA Public Charter Schools
Admin Team Update
There are many exciting changes coming for TMSA Public Charter Schools for the upcoming school year.
MS Dean Of Students Culture
Mr. Harris founded Harris Health & Wellness, a youth fitness organization, in 2011, during his junior year of college. Mr. Harris’ passion for educating others on the importance of establishing physical and emotional wellness has culminated with him earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Science and Fitness Management and a Master of Arts in Teaching, both from North Carolina A&T State University.
Prior to establishing his own organization, Mr. Harris began teaching in an alternative school geared towards children living with emotional and behavioral issues. This is where he first learned that success for students begins with stability in the home, which includes the support of parents in the student's overall physical, social, and emotional wellbeing.

“Although I will miss my students in Middle School, I am very excited for the challenges that will come at the next level,” Mr. Hagen said. He has been a driving force in pushing for school pride, and is looking forward to enhancing the culture at TMSA.
Mr. Van Hagen earned his Bachelor’s degree in Education from North Carolina A&T State University, and is currently working on his Master’s degree in School Administration.
Triad Elementary School Dean
Allison Eilers grew up in a small town in upstate New York. She has had a passion for education and for helping others since she can remember. Her career in education began at an early age, and she has worked with children in different capacities throughout her life. Ms. Eilers has worked at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. After obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree from Mercy College, she went on to pursue her Master’s Degree in Literacy from Long Island University. From there, she taught Reading for several years before moving to North Carolina where she became a classroom teacher. She enjoyed her years as a second and third grade teacher, and then transitioned to the high school level where she served as Assistant Principal. She received her administration certification from Wingate University. Ms. Eilers’ decision to become an administrator came from a strong desire to make a positive impact on an entire school community. As the 3-5 Elementary Dean, she looks forward to working diligently with faculty and staff to carry out the vision and mission of Triad Math and Science Academy. It is her belief that, as a school, we play a fundamental role in positioning students for future success. Ms. Eilers is committed to working closely with teachers, parents, and community members to ensure children achieve their full potential and are prepared for their next phase of their education.
