Returning Student Registration
Families should have received an email from PowerSchool regarding Returning Student Registration. All families need to complete this important information for your student(s). This allows you to update demographic information, emergency contacts, and health information. You will also complete technology agreements, download the student parent handbook, sign off on the student code of conduct, and complete additional consent forms and information.
If you did not receive this email, you can access the information update through logging into the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Once logged into PowerSchool you should see an icon on the lower left labeled Returning Student Registration.

Extended Campus Student Materials Pick Up
On Monday, August 17th from 8:30 am-4 pm and Wednesday, August 19th from 1-5 pm, we will provide time slots for students participating in the extended campus learning option to pick up class materials. This will include the ability for students new to Westside Community Schools to pick up the school issued laptop computer.
- A signup.com link will be sent to these families the week of August 10th.
- When students come to school they will receive a copy of their class schedule.
- The students will be directed to locations to pick up materials for the different subject areas.
Nutrition Services
Please visit the new Nutrition Services web page to find out information regarding menus, free or reduced lunch program, contacts for assistance, and much more. Here are some important links regarding our district's meal service.

Free-Reduced Meal Application Online
- Apply online for Free or Reduced Meals
- Families who qualify must fill out a new application each year.
- Families that do not reapply will return to full pay meals.
- Families who qualify for free or reduced lunch should fill out this form to qualify for fee waivers for different programs.
- These include activity tickets, uniform assistance, dances, graduation fees, ACT tests, and many more things.
- This form is necessary so the school can provide waivers for these types of fees.
Parking Information
While we are in the yellow 25% mode, all students who drive to school will be able to park on campus. While in the 25% mode we would like any senior who would like to park on campus to purchase a parking pass. This will help us know how many junior passes we will be able to sell. During the first two weeks of school we will start the process of our junior parking lottery so we will be able to have passes to students when we are able to increase the number of students at school.
- Senior families can access My School Bucks through the PowerSchool parent/student portal to complete parking application and pay the fee.
- Once completed, senior students should bring their driver's license, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance to the Business Office. We will photocopy these documents and give the student a parking tag.
- Junior students should be watching their school email the first two weeks of school for information on the parking lottery.
- Students can also park on 87th street and William street. Students who choose to park on the street must follow the signs regarding proper parking areas. Omaha Police may ticket cars not parked correctly on the street.
Off Campus Passes
Junior and Senior students will be able to apply for off campus passes. We will send the paperwork for students and parents to fill out next week. We are making final adjustments to student schedules and will wait to have off campus pass forms filled out until student schedules are as accurate as possible.
- Seniors will be able to complete the off campus pass process in the dean's office starting August 20th.
- Juniors will be able to complete the off campus pass process in the dean's office starting August 27th.
- To receive the pass students should bring the completed form to the dean's office.
- We will verify the mods the student can leave campus and put the pass on the back of the student's ID.
- Reminder students leaving and returning during the day need to check out/in at either the main door on the east side of the building or the west entrance by the Welding area.
- With the inability to complete service hours, there will be no service hour requirement to obtain an off campus pass.
