Welcome Back Bulldogs!
Wow! It's fall already! In the counseling office this year we have already done senior interviews and presentations, a PostSecret collaboration with the art department, and many one-on-one conversations with our incredibly resilient students.

College fair at George Mason aimed at Latino students on October 23rd.
Parent Summit 10/19
PWCS Parent Summit at Patriot High School on October 19th, from 8-11:30 am. This event provides families an opportunity to learn how they can support their students as they enter, experience, and exit high school.
East End College Fair 10/22
PWCS College Fair on October 22nd at Forest Park High School from 6-8 pm.

College Application Week
SENIORS! Join the Counseling Department in the library computer lab during College Application week for hands on help to complete your application. We will help you during lunches, with a special after school event on Wednesday, November 20th until 5 pm. It's open time for you, but if you plan on staying after school on Wednesday, please register in Naviance.

College Application Checklist
- Turn in signed FERPA form to counselor
- Take the SAT or ACT and submit scores through your account with testing agency.
- Request transcript via Naviance (2 weeks ahead of deadline.)
- Ask teachers, coaches, influential adults, etc for letter of recommendation if needed.
- Complete college application. (If applying on Common App, it's important to match your accounts in Naviance!)
- Submit FAFSA (only for documented students and citizens)
Attention Juniors!
Counselors will begin Junior Naviance Presentations on October 18th and go through October 25th. These presentations will be through your US/VA History class.
Junior Parent Night is on October 24th from 6:30-8 pm! Come out and hear from The College Place and ask questions.

Fall Awards- November 25th
We love to celebrate our amazing students. Those who have earned an academic letter will be invited to our fall awards ceremony on November 25th. This event is invite only, and we cannot wait to host you!
