The 5th grade put on a living museum demonstration on Friday. All students participated and did an exceptional job communicating and using technology to describe their trade. Fifth graders shared their presentations with the rest of the Taft students. Thank you Mr. Schultz for creating this opportunity and thank you Ms. Pritzl for providing the library. Our 5th graders did a fabulous job!

2. Band O Rama is next week! (This is NOT for string students.) Our last rehearsal is Monday, February 15th Students will need to bring their folding music stand with their name on it to that rehearsal and the concert. If your child does not have a stand, this week would be a good time to obtain one. Using a music stand at home is essential to obtain good playing posture. Both the performance and concert are in the NHS Fieldhouse. Students should wear their Neenah Musician's Tshirts and nice black or khaki pants or skirt for the 7pm concert. See the attachment below for more information.
3. Volunteers are needed to assist our 5th graders both before and during the Band-o-rama concert next Monday. Please follow the link below to sign up if you can assist. Thank you in advance for helping out.

4. Pizza for Practice Students practicing 100 minutes or more every week this month will be invited to the musician’s pizza party in March. Students received notice of this on the top of their February practice cards. We are in the home stretch. Keep practicing. The more at the party, the merrier!
5. Schedule Changes for the week of 2/15-2/19 Since there is no school on Friday 2/19 due to teacher inservice, CLAYTON and Roosevelt/Alliance will meet on Tuesday. Hoover will meet on Wednesday.
6. Supplies. Orchestra students should have a tuner (available online or at our area music stores) so that they can learn to tune their own instruments. Clarinet and saxophone students should have 4 good reeds at all times. Brass students should be sure that their valve oil, slide grease and spray bottle supplies have not run low.
