Weekly Happenings
Greetings Students and Families,
This week student are continuing to rotate through math and literacy stations. All the students have done an exceptional job of transitioning between activities. Now, students will focus more on working together as a team to help each other along with problems that may arise. We have had dynamic parent support during our stations which is a key to small group sizes and student learning. Thank you so much for your support!!
Math focus: Chapter 2 - Addition -
Monday - Addition Properties
Tuesday - Addition Patterns
Wednesday - Adding Mentally
Thursday - Estimating Sums
Literacy focus:
Continued introductions to Mt. Language.
Beginning Personal Narrative Writing.
Reading Challenges started last Friday! Every student has chosen a chapter book within their Lexile and met with me to set their individual challenge. Please help your student be successful by reminding them to have their challenge book and log (pink paper) with them every day.
Field Trip
Habitats at the Carl E. Wynn Nature Center

Students need:
rubber boots
rain pants and a rain coat
extra socks and pants (in case they get wet)
sack lunch (if your student normal eats hot lunch, please tell me so that I can ask the kitchen to prepare a sack lunch for them.)
*Parent drivers/adventurers will be needed!!!

Just a friendly reminder that Fall Fundraiser order forms and money are due on WEDNESDAY, September 17th. Please make sure students have their name and their classroom on their order forms and envelopes. A reminder note will be sent home today.
This fundraiser was a new adventure for PTO this year. We have some notes that we will take into consideration for next time. If you have any suggestions or comments, we'd love to hear them.
