Important Information
Wow, wow, wow! Material pick up went AMAZING and the chance to see kids and families, even from afar, left my heart full. Simply said, thank you. Thank you for a hundred different reasons, but namely for the love, support, and guidance that you are providing to your children. You don't have to go it alone! We are there with you, helping to create the best possible learning opportunities for your child(ren).
Here's some important information to share with you:
~ Food Service: Just in case you missed this in Superintendent Petersen's daily updates, here's really important information regarding food distribution if you are in need but unable to get to the food pick up sites. Families who are in need of assistance to access our nutrition program are asked to complete this form.
~ Technology Resources and Support: District 77 has a family email tech support email set up and ready to go

Email: familytechhelp@isd77.org
Also, here is information about Reduced Internet should that be a need for your family. At this time, we are not currently offering the option to purchase a device protection plan. If the device breaks/ stops working, we will support you in fixing the device. If the device is intentionally damaged, MAPS will work with your family to provide you with the costs. The process would work similar to student use of library books.
If your device is broken:
Please send in Helpdesk Email (FamilyTechHelp@isd77.org) to let us know you have a student with a broken device. Include your student’s name, type of device and your student’s school
We will send you a pickup location, time and date.
When the device is received, it will be cleaned. It will be cleaned again prior to being returned to you.
I've already said this once, but it bears repeating...do not underestimate your ability to support your child during this challenging time. You are, and always have been, your child's first teacher! Thank you for the love, encouragement, compassion, and care that you bring them. Stay well, Roosevelt Raccoons!

Frequently Asked Questions
Are we doing online learning?
We MAY go to online learning if we are able to ensure that all students have access to the material. This would be no sooner than after the 15 days of lessons have been completed.
When should my student start working on their learning materials?
Students should begin working/learning on Tuesday, March 31 since that is when our school calendar had us back in session.
Will the school cancellation continue past May 4?
We want to get these materials to students in case the closure is extended and in case there are additional measures taken in response to COVID-19.
