Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great Spring Break with time to relax and breathe and take care of yourself.
As I am sure you have heard by now, we will not be returning to campus this school year. I know this news is difficult for all of us as well as for our students and families. The district message has been to connect, engage and support our students during this time which I know we all have been doing. We will continue on with our distance learning and office hours and continue to reach out and connect with those students whom we've yet to hear from. Please be sure to check our Student Technology Access Chart to ensure we know who we are connecting and who we have yet to. Additionally, please check the MDUSD Distance Learning Expectations with more specifics directly from the district including more details about distance learning, grading, etc. Please be sure to read it carefully.
You all have been doing a great job sharing ideas, resources, websites, etc, please continue to do so by updating our EDMS Staff Resource Page with any and all ideas and tools you have used. (I shared a picture example from Ms. Acianoh of how she is keeping track of her engagement below). We would be happy to make this into a template for everyone to use.
We know nothing will be the same as having students in your room but as we continue providing students with resources to support their learning I know we will engage and support them through this time. We will be having some conversations in the near future about specific details of finishing out the year. Thank you for everything you have done and will do. Please do not hesitate to reach out via email/text/phone/etc if you need anything. Lastly, if you have not yet watched Some Good News, do yourself a favor. Have a great week!

We are continuing to provide meals to the community from 11-12:30 Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Megan Gemma and I will be on campus Monday from 11-1 if you need anything let us know.
Meetings
As we make the shift for the long term, please be sure to complete this Survey we sent out a couple of weeks ago to give your input on Meetings, Office Hours, Professional Development, etc so we can make informed decisions about future meetings, when and how to structure them.
EDLT we will be meeting on Tuesday at 10:00am for a short check in.
SPED Dept meeting will be held on Wednesday at 10:30.
ToroFamily Community Forum: we will be holding a community forum for parents/students on Wednesday night at 6:00pm. All staff are welcome to join (but not required) and we are just going to be there to see and support our students and families, answer questions and engage with them.
