Theme: Who Do You Say that I am
From the Principal's Desk
Dear Sacred Heart Families,
I would like to thank you for supporting our PTO Fundraiser. The auction and reverse raffle will truly help our PTO to provide much needed field trips and programming for our students this year. Our auction team has put in many hours to planning for this event and we look forward to seeing you there!
Sacred Heart has a long tradition of providing service to those in our community. Currently our kindergarten students are putting together baskets for families at Akron Children’s Hospital. Most families whose child is newly diagnosed with cancer are immediately admitted to the oncology floor. They will show up to Akron Children's hospital either through the ER or have an appointment at the oncology clinic. Once diagnosed, these families have little time to prepare for multi-night stays. According to Mrs. Semrau, “our class wants to help newly diagnosed families by putting care baskets together for them so that when they arrive in their room they have some much needed self care items. We will also be purchasing gift cards to the cafeteria and small toys for the child to add to the baskets as well.” Joining kindergarten in this effort is their 8th grade buddies. You can see some pictures below.
Sacred Heart was invited to participate in a new Diocese of Cleveland podcast on Catholic Schools. Fr. Joe, Fr. Pat, Mrs. Allen and I were interviewed and shared what we believe makes Sacred Heart such an amazing place. More information can be found below including a link to the podcast.
I wish you a blessed week!
In Christ,
Mr. Czaplicki

Celebrating Grandparents the Week of October 11th
Please register for one of the four events, accounting for total number of grandparents/grand-friends and Sacred Heart students who will attend. Seating is very limited to adhere to social distancing standards, so parents and younger siblings are not able to attend due to spacing. Thank you for understanding. If your grandparent/grand-friend isn’t able to come, it is okay and they will still be honored. Please RSVP on the Virtual Grandparents Option so we can send them a special video message and gift.
Extra hands are always appreciated. If you are able to help with set-up or clean-up, please signup on the volunteer slot. Note your availability in the notes/comments section. Thank you in advance.

Cut off date for Spirit wear exchange WEDNESDAY.
Spirit Wear Exchange
We are aware of the spelling error on the “Strong and Courageous” gym shirt. A-1 apologizes and is reprinting these for us. They will be sent home as soon as possible. Students may keep these original shirts and wear them to gym as well.
For those with sizing size issues, while A-1 does not offer exchanges or refunds directly, we will be trying to accommodate as many of you as possible by doing an inner school exchange on the gym shorts, joggers, and sweatpants. The remaining size issues that cannot be resolved this way, will be purchased in the correct sizes needed to make everyone's order complete. We will keep the returned sizes and have them available for purchase for those families that might need an item between online sales.
We can only exchange new, never worn (other than to try on), never washed items.
We are thankful that Lori McIlvaine has offered to help assist with the spirit wear exchange. Please email her at lori.mcilvaine@gmail.com. Include with your name, your child's name and homeroom, your email, item description, size you have that you want to exchange, and the size you need.
Thank you for your support, patience, and understanding.
