Lunch recess is a lively and fun environment for students who actively enjoy 4-Square, 2-Touch, kickball, tetherball, basketball, soccer, and playing on the playground as well as many other games and activities.
Carlton is seeking volunteers to help monitor the blacktop, field and playground during lunch recess from 12:00-12:50 daily.
Responsibilities for volunteer yard duty are pretty simple:
- Monitor and observe students, looking for possible safety issues
- Help students resolve disagreements
- Reward students good behavior by passing our Cougar Code tickets
- Possibly lead a lunchtime game/activity of your interest
We are seeking volunteers who can commit to a regular volunteer time frame (i.e. every Wednesday and Thursday, every Monday, etc.). This will allow us to create a basic schedule to ensure that we have sufficient coverage every day of the week. We are also more than happy to have parents just drop in to help whenever they can, without committing to a regular schedule.

Be sure to let D know if you are able to commit to a regular schedule or are interested in just dropping in to help from time to time.

Be Seen Be Heard Parent Night and Student Assemblies
Be Seen and Heard Parent Night will take place Tuesday evening from 6:00-7:00PM. Assemblies (Zoom) for students will take place at the following schedule:

Please be prepared to walk your TK/Kinder student to their classroom door in the mornings and give them a quick hug at 8:05 before you exit. Some little ones may struggle a little bit with separating from their parents in the morning, that is OK!!! Please know that we have an experienced TK/Kinder staff that are prepared to help manage these situations and help make your child feel welcomed and settled.
